In this unit I took low key (Day of the Dead), candid (Students), and recreation portraits(cassat recreation). I like portrait photography because it's fun to be creative with another person and work together to create an image that's fun to look at. I used natural light set-ups and studio light setups to achieve dramatic, or soft lighting depending on what mood I wanted the image to convey. To resolve my dance photo I had to crop the image so the ceiling wasn't in shot and did not take away from the dancer I also used lightroom to create a sharper more defined image. My strongest photo is the candid students in bike tech, my intention with this photo was to capture the fun that they have in this class while creating something they can use in the future.

I think this image is strong because the student look genuinely happy to be creating a bike, the vibrance of the photo makes the happiness shine through the screen and their laughs are genuine conveying a overall happy theme. To achieve this image i had to wait for the perfect moment to capture the boys smiling and laughing. The challenges I had was waiting for the right moment to take the photo and quickly had to jump into action when i saw the perfect moment
